May 2025 Volume 5, Issue 05
Dear Quilting Friends,
Happy May!!! I think (actually, more like hope) the snow is behind us for this past winter and I’m looking forward to the trees and flowers being in full bloom. I am so ready for a hint of warmer weather that I bought a dozen new plants, pots and soil to dress up my front porch. Here’s a pic of what I did on Monday between loads of laundry and lunch with a few friends. Just like many of my quilts, I like a variety of patterns and colors. I mean, doesn’t everything in life somehow relate to quilting??? And the side benefit is that my husband will have to drop the “doggie bags” in the trash instead of the empty planters like he’s done for the past two years (only one of his very few bad habits). It’s certainly a win-win for me as well as the neighborhood
And, just like spring comes around once a year, so does our Spring-Cleaning Sale. This is happening Thursday through Saturday, May 1st – May 3rd. Nearly everything in the store is discounted from 10% for pre-rolled 1-, 3-, and 5-yard cuts to 30% off on bolt goods. So, please come by or order online to take advantage of some really great deals.
This month we’re going to spend a lot of time getting ready for our first year at the Panguitch Quilt Walk Festival. I’m hoping it will be a lot of fun and a huge success for everyone who goes there. Among other things, we are currently prepping over 100 Mini-Packs (16 coordinated Fat Eighths) for sale and Kami is madly putting the finishing touches on a dozen brand new patterns specifically designed to use with the Mini-Packs. Once the show is over, we’ll be setting up a new display in the store with more Mini-Packs and patterns for you to peruse.
You know, there’s a lot going on in May and not just in the store. Just like our homes, cars, and ourselves need a little maintenance every once in a while, the fair city of Nephi is getting a chunk of state funds to repave all five miles of Main Street beginning May 1st. As if parking in front of the store wasn’t already at a premium this will most definitely impact access to our main entrance for a while. So, with that in mind, please plan to park behind the shop or in the lot between Wells Fargo and Vintage Roots hair salon when construction prevents you from parking at the curb. To help alleviate the inconvenience, we’ll keep the back door unlocked for easy access to the shop.

Finally, it’s once again the season to remember and honor those who have so nobly served our country and protected our freedoms. I’m so grateful for their (and their family’s) sacrifices to answer the call to stand in harm’s way and in many cases give their lives for what they believed was their duty to God and family. We are truly blessed!
As always, we hope you’re healthy, happy, and finding joy in each 1/4” seam.
Happy Quilting!
~ Beth and Kami
