September 2024 Volume 5, Issue 09
Dear Quilting Friends,
Happy Labor Day! This is a day unlike any other holiday in the United States. We have days to honor our past and present presidents, a day to think about our sweeties, one to go green (especially if you have any Irish ancestry), two (Easter and Christmas) to remember Jesus Christ and a couple others which dredge up ghosts and goblins and give us an excuse to pig out on turkey and other fixings. However, Labor Day became an official national holiday on June 28, 1894, recognizing the social and economic achievements of American workers. Instead of remembering others’ contributions, we get an extra day off to celebrate all the hard work we’ve done throughout our lives. Way to go!!! ????
Here at Paisley Patch Quilts, we have another reason to toot our own horns. Drum roll please………. September 8th will be our 4th anniversary! It’s been quite a ride and I’m so grateful for the many customers we’ve had over the years. You all have become like family to me, and I feel especially blessed to be able to rub elbows with such wonderful people.
To celebrate this occasion, we are holding an anniversary sale both in the store and online from September 3 – 8 featuring 40% off all bolt goods, kits and precuts (layer cakes, charms, strips and bundles). Of course, it's limited to stock on-hand, and the sale price does not apply to any clearance (which is already 50% off), books, patterns, notions, tools, etc. So come in or browse our website for the best possible selection. We’re there to help.
Well, my hubby and our dogs are off in another week to attend his family campout. Turns out I had about 3 other optional activities to choose from that same weekend. After much deliberation, I decided to stay home and go to some classes that Riley Blake is sponsoring at Thanksgiving Point (in Lehi, UT). Fortunately, the seminar includes admission to the Garden of Quilts that happens in the same location. So, I’m doubly excited to get to not only increase my knowledge, but also be awesomely inspired by other quilter’s work. I can hardly wait to get there.
That’s about all for now. I hope your Labor Day festivities give you a chance to relax and truly take a day off from all your labors. You certainly deserve it!
As always, we hope you’re healthy, happy, and finding joy in each 1/4” seam.
Happy Quilting!
