September 2023 Volume 4, Issue 8

Dear Quilting Friends,

 I hope by now you’ve heard the news that we are not closing the doors on Paisley Patch Quilts. While Aug 5th was supposed to be our last day on Main Street, we got word on August 3rd that the buyer had changed his mind about purchasing the building. It’s been a strange turn of events, but I think Garth Brooks has the right idea when he sings the lyrics:

 Sometimes I thank God for unanswered prayers

Remember when you're talkin' to the man upstairs

And just because He doesn't answer, doesn't mean He don't care

'Cause some of God's greatest gifts are unanswered prayers

 All I can say is amen! Even though this experience didn’t turn out like I expected it to, I’m glad we still have the opportunity to serve you right where we’ve been for almost three years.

Yep! You heard right, we’ll be celebrating our third anniversary on September 8th. I can hardly believe that much time has already passed. (There I go again talking about time!) Opening a business is almost like watching a child go from sitting up to crawling, walking and finally running. We’re definitely in the running stage right now and looking forward to hitting that milestone. And to celebrate this auspicious occasion we’ll be offering a 25% discount on all on-the-bolt fabric, kits and precuts on September 7th, 8th, and 9th. 

Because many of you took advantage of some great “closing our doors” specials in July we have the opportunity to restock our shelves with new products. A couple months ago I mentioned we were going to phase out a bunch of collections and expand our selection of blenders, solids and precuts. Well, now we have the room to do that and I’m having a great time bringing in some new colors and styles. We’re still working with the same fabulous people from Free Spirit, Wilmington, Benartex, Riley Blake, Art Gallery Fabrics and more. One perk is that those companies are also offering new styles and designs which makes my “shopping” experience very fun. I can hardly wait till our orders arrive at the shop. Finally, our basement is still on track to be finished by the end of the year, but fortunately we no longer have to move the longarm to my house. (Boy, I was really dreading that task.) Fortunately, it’s staying right where it is and we’re once again taking quilting orders. We hope to see your latest creations real soon.
