July 2023 Volume 4, Issue 7

Dear Quilting Friends,

Can you believe that our nation is almost 250 years old??? Just another 3 short years and we’ll be celebrating 2-1/2 centuries of spacious skies, purple mountain majesties and amber waves of grain (sounds a little like Utah, LOL). Whatever you’re doing on July 4^th we hope it’s full of fun and gratitude for those brave souls who fought for and won our freedom and democracy.

I just love fabric and all the wonderful designs people come up with. I am always amazed at how beautiful quilts can be depending on how the prints are arranged and colors blend with each other. Whenever someone brings a quilt to the shop either to find coordinating fabric for backing or binding or need it to be quilted, I typically gush over how gorgeous it is. That may sound a little over the top, but I’m truly in love with every quilt that I see. 

Our efforts to increase the number of blenders and batiks are working. I recently went on a little shopping spree and took advantage of specials that our vendors had available to achieve our goal. Over the past several weeks we’ve received about 60+ bolts of bold and bright colors and charming pastels that would highlight any quilt. Now we’re “bursting at the seams” (pun intended) and don’t know what to do with all the excess fabric except to put a bunch of other fabric on sale.

So, beginning July 3 (online) and July 5 (in store) through July 8 all of our COLLECTIONS and CHILDREN'S prints will be 50% off!!! There are many patterns, colors, and styles to choose from. Even if you’re using the fabric for a current project or just adding to your stash, we do hope you’ll find something that strikes your fancy. It’s kind of an oxymoron, but whatever goes home with you will help us get new inventory on the shelves and at the same time minimize our efforts to pack all our merchandise and shelving to move to a new location.

Many of you have been aware that we’ve been looking for an “investor” to purchase our building and let us lease it back from them. While we received a very generous offer to buy the shop, it also came with a request to vacate the space within the next couple months. We are currently looking for suitable accommodation in Nephi that will allow us to offer the same level of service we’ve been blessed to provide for the past several years. So far, we don’t have anything permanent, but we are diligently looking at our options.

Needless to say, we sure could use your prayers and positive vibes to quickly secure our new home. The sooner we know the location, the better equipped we’ll be to execute a seamless transition from where we are to where we’re going.
