Hello Quilting Friends,
Do you ever feel like you’re “stuck in a rut”? Apparently, the phrase was coined when early 1800’s covered wagons passed over the same trail and their wooden wheels would get caught in the grooves of the dirt path making it difficult to continue their journey.
Sometimes I get stuck in my own personal rut. I’m doing the same things, day after day, with little to no progress toward starting something new or accomplishing any of my goals. I currently have 8-10 quilt tops to finish. My husband and I have plans to remodel and redecorate our house, but jobs and tasks like mowing the lawn, doing dishes, laundry and vacuuming seem to leave little time for getting out of our personal rut. Please don’t get me wrong. I LOVE my job here at Paisley Patch Quilts. However, it does take a little more than a few hours of day to run my own business.

So here, and now I’m challenging myself (and you) to try something new. I’ve been wanting to make fabric bowls. I suspect my first one will be a bit wonky, but with time I’ll perfect my skills and amaze even myself. The picture to the right is a small example of what I’m referring to. I promise to report back next month to let you know how my efforts panned out.
At the shop we’re gearing up for some late spring and summer sales. All our fabric and precut inventory will be on sale at various times in commemoration of both national holidays and local events. Check out our "Hightlights" section below for specific dates. Then click a link for further details. We do hope you’ll find something suitable to help you get beyond the ruts in your road.
Additionally, we’re in the process of expanding our in-shop class offerings. Future sessions include fabric bowls, seasonal runners, and apparel. Please check our calendar frequently for new titles and schedules that will be added as they are available.
Lastly, we’d like to give a shout out to all our new in-person and virtual customers! We sure appreciate the opportunity to serve you and provide you with top quality merchandise. It’s because of you that we’re still going strong.
As always, we hope you’re healthy, happy, and finding joy in each 1/4” seam.
Happy Quilting!
