Lesson 1 - Introduction to the sewing machine, sewing tools, and fabrics
- Scraps of fabric minimum 5”x5” up to 12”x12”
Lesson 2 - Constructing a Pillowcase
- Fabric 1 – cut 1 piece, 27”
- Fabric 2 – cut 1 piece, 9”
- Fabric 3 – cut 1 piece, 2”
- Coordinating thread
Lesson 3 - Constructing a Patchwork Throw Pillow Case
- 4 – Fat Quarters
- Coordinating thread
Lesson 4 - Constructing an Applique Placemat
- Cut 6 pieces, 5”x5”
- 2 – Fat Quarters

The below items are to be supplied by the attendee:
- Fabric
- Pattern
- Sewing machine
- Sewing machine needles
- Machine oil and cleaning tools
- Bobbins
- Thread
- Pins
- Hand sewing needles
- Seam ripper
- Rulers
- Measuring tape
- Scissors
- Rotary cutter & blades
- Project fabric
- Project notions (i.e.: zippers, snaps, elastic, buttons, interfacing, ribbon, etc.)
- Other tools/templates you normally use
The following are suggested “just-in-case” items you may want to have on hand:
- Extension cord and/or power strip
- Desk light
- Small table to extend workspace (no larger than 24” x 24”)
