Yardage Requirements:
NOTE: Fabrics can be mixed and matched; Fabric A does not have to be the same print in every block.
Total yardage requirements are dependent on the student's preference to create this quilt either entirely using scraps or purposeful, coordinating fabrics.
For a scrap quilt, follow the below cutting guide for each of the blocks then, add the required yardage for the sashing, cornerstones, borders, batting, backing and binding.
For coordinating fabric:
Fabric A: 3/4 to 1 yard
Fabric B: 3/4 to 1 yard
Fabric C: 3/4 to 1 yard
Fabric D: 3/4 to 1 yard
Fabric E: 3/4 to 1 yard
Fabric F: (Sashing and Cornerstones) 1 to 1-1/4 yards
Border 1: Add 1 yard to any Fabric A through E
Border 2: Add 1 yard to any Fabric A through E
Border 3: Add 1-1/4 yard to any Fabric A through E
Batting: 2 yards of minimum 72" wide
Backing: 2 yards of 108" wide fabric or 4 to 4-1/2 yards of 43"-44" wide fabric (for repeat)
Binding: 5/8 to 3/4 yard

Week 1, Block 2 - Patience Corner
- Fabric A – cut 4 pieces, 4-1/2” X 4-1/2”
- Fabric B – cut 4 pieces, 2-1/2” X 4-1/2”
- Fabric C – cut 4 pieces, 2-1/2” X 6-1/2”
Week 1, Block 3 - Grandmother's Fan (templates are available in class)
